Earlier on this blog, I discussed a recent IRS Notice which provides guidance regarding the Pension Protection Act of 2006.

David A. Berek (Credit Suisse Family Wealth Management) has recently published his article entitled New Pension Protection Act a Boon to Charitable Giving, 94 Ill. B.J. 628 (2006), which explains how “[t]he new law allows wealthy taxpayers over age 70 1/2 to give up to $100,000 from their IRAs directly to public charities.”
