Private Art museums are popping up across the country and giving the public the ability to access pieces of art that are privately owned while also giving the owners big tax breaks. However, concern over some private museums is growing due to their difficult to reach locations, and limitations such as only being open a few days a year to select viewers. One such museum is the Brant Foundation Art Study Center located in Greenwich, Connecticut. The Brant museum is located near the home of its creator, newsprint magnate Peter M. Brandt, and has limited availability to the public for its appointment only viewings. However, a museum spokeswoman expressed that museum activities also include lectures, educational workshops for children, and traveling exhibitions.
