Historic Gutenberg Bibles Donated to Princeton
Philanthropists and rare book collector, William Scheide, left a bequests of $300 million in rare books to Princeton University. Included in the collection are the six oldest Gutenberg Bibles, which were printed in 1455. The entire collection is the school’s largest donation it has ever received.
