Tom Benson Benson Estate Feud Continues In New Orleans Court

The ongoing battle between billionaire Tom Benson and his still guaranteed to be insanely rich daughter and grandchildren continued last week in a New Orleans Federal Court. This particular Benson case, out of many, revolves around the removal of stock of the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans from a trust set up in Texas by Mr. Benson for the benefit of his descendants. The trustee was in court arguing that the assets exchanged for the team stock was not equal in value and ran afoul of the terms of the trust as a result. The  judge denied a request by the trustee to remove the trial to a Texas Federal District Court on the basis that there are sufficient contacts with Louisiana to merit keeping the case in New Orleans.
