A U.S. District Judge in San Antonio has delayed a decision on whether the Benson Family Trust dispute should be heard in Federal court or in Bexar County probate court. The case is about a dispute between New Orleans billionaire, Tom Benson, and his daughter, Renee Benson, over the management of the Shirley Benson Testamentary Trust. Tom Benson wanted the case moved to federal court after Bexar County Probate Judge Tom Rickhoff removed him as trustee and appointed two receivers to temporarily manage the trust’s assets.
