What Should You Do If There Are Two Different Power Of Attorney Forms?

Power_of_attorney_decatur_ILIf a person has given out two different power of attorney (POA) forms on different dates, and neither form has been revoked, this could cause a number of problems.  Both POA forms may be active, therefore it is important to revoke one of the forms in writing.  That individual should include a statement showing that they are of sound mind and that they have the intention of revoking the POA form.  They also need to make their intention clear and recover the POA from their agent by sending out a certified letter informing the agent of the revocation.
