Charitable Actions of Wealthy Businessman Concerns Family

Money BagEnglish Businessman Sir Jack Hayward passed away on Tuesday leaving an estimated £160 million estate. The charitable Hayward was known for his large donations throughout his life, such as a £1 million donation to rebuild the  Falklands Islands hospital. However, his huge charitable contributions were a source of family tension. Two of his children and six grandchildren were involved in a legal battle against Hayward after he sold the Wolverhampton Wanderers football club for a nominal sum of £10, which he expressed was to ensure the team was properly managed. His family members who brought the legal action expressed concern that his irrational behavior was depleting their inheritance. Hayward countered their feelings and actions with confusion over why they were second guessing his financial decisions after they were already set up to receive large inheritances.
