Man Buried Riding His Harley-Davidson Motorcycle
Billy Standley’s dying wish was to be buried riding his beloved Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Thanks to his adoring family, his wish has been fulfilled.
The Ohio motorhead was recently laid to rest in a Mechanicsburg cemetery while seated on his 1967 Electra Glide cruiser. The project was completed by five embalmers who used a metal back brace and straps to secure Standley’s body to his ride. His massive casket, consisting of a 9-by-11 cement septic tank, required the purchase of three burial plots.
After the 82-year-old died of lung cancer, a public procession with motorcyclists from across the country led his casket to his final resting place.
