Clemmons Sentenced to 18 Years
Suspended probate lawyer John E. Clemmons has been sentenced to 18 years in prison.
The 66-year-old Tennessean pleaded guilty to perjury, theft and defrauding TennCare, the state’s Medicare managed-care program. Clemmons admitting to stealing $1.3 million from three conservatorship clients and has been cooperating with a probe concerning claims by other former clients that he victimized them as well.
