Illinois Becoming 15th State to Allow Same-Sex Marriage
TheIllinois legislature has voted in favor of same-sex marriage and Governor PatQuinn says he will sign it into law. Onlythree Republicans voted in favor of same-sex marriage, but this Republican supportcould have been decisive.
Thismakes Illinois the 15th state to allow same-sex marriage when the law goes intoeffect June 1. Also, on June 1, same-sexcouples in Illinois civil unions can convert them to marriage for no fee.
