Man Holds Girlfriend’s Grandfather’s Ashes for $40 Ransom

Followingan argument with his girlfriend, a Florida man took her grandfather’s ashes andheld them ransom for forty bucks.

Thegirlfriend relented and gave him the forty dollars in exchange for information onthe whereabouts of her grandfather’s ashes. The man was later arrested on battery charges for striking hisgirlfriend in the mouth with her house key and grabbing her arms and throat.
