Englishman Forges Father’s Will

Nigel Crisp, 63, was recently found to have forged ahandwritten will of his father that left his father’s estate to Crisp’s wife.

Crisp claimed to have found the will in a drawer but lateradmitted the fraud in court.  His father’sactual will left the bulk of his estate to his sister-in-law and Crisp’sson. 

Crisp had used the will to collect £10,000 from his late father’s bank account andwas in the process of selling his father’s home valued at £135,000.  After family members raised concerns aboutthe will’s validity, a handwriting expert confirmed the will had been writtenby Crisp. 

Crisp was sentenced to a 22-month jail sentence but isunlikely to serve the time due to deteriorating health.
