New Evidence Implicates Chinachem Members of Breaching Their Duty
Nina Wang was Asia’s wealthiest women for almost thirtyyears before she died in 2007. Recently, her last assistant, Ringo WongLai-chuen, provided the police with some evidence implicating members ofChinachem of obstruction of justice. Wong was quoted in the China Morning Post stating,“They are people who were barely noticed in the past, but climbed to higherpositions.” Wong has also questioned how Chinachem Group has administered theChinachem Charitable Foundation which was inherited a hefty sum from Wang’swill. Additionally, Wong suspects Nina Wang’s late husband, Teddy Wang Teh-huei,would mismanage Nina’s estate. However, despite the new evidence the policehave not opened a new investigation. Police are waiting for more supportingdocumentation from Wong. He is expected to provide that information soon.
