Another Steve Jobs?

Garcia Grateful DeadThe Grateful Dead’s Jerry Garcia has been compared to the late-Apple CEO. The comparison largely comes from Garcia’s leadership style. Garcia’s leadership style could be summarized in a few words as “‘benevolent despotism.'” This made Garcia basically irreplaceable and the only person that every member of the Grateful Dead could trust. Like Steve Jobs, Garcia held unrivaled authority within his organizaton. His style, like Jobs, allowed for innovation from his employees, which allowed his organziation to grow. On an interesting note, apparently Garcia and Jobs share one more aspect that many might now know. Both men apparently consumed LSD, and cited their use to some of their success.
