Will Dispute Over The Tombstone of Lee Harvey Oswald
An Illinois Car Museum is currently the owner of Lee Harvey Oswald’s tombstone. Oswald was the infamous sniper who killed President John F. Kennedy in Dallas, TX, in 1963. Now, David Card, a Texas Club Owner, has brought suit against the curator of the museum for the return of Oswald’s tombstone. Card claims his family should be the rightful owners of the tombstone. The stone itself fell into the possession of the Cards when they purchased Owsald’s mother’s home and discovered the tombstone in a crawl space under the home. When the family discovered the stone, they sent it to Mrs. Card’s sister who gave it to her son. Her son passed away in 2008, and the stone passed to his wife through his will. Now, Card’s son has brought his suit to re-claim the stone.
The curator of the museum, Wayne Lensing, claims that he received the tombstone from the son of Mrs. Card’s sister legally.
