Many people find themselves wanting to contribute to charity, but why? There are a myriad of reasons that different individuals want to make gifts of their money, and Financial Planning Magazine lists a few of these reasons. It typically boils down to the idea that “we care for others as extensions of ourselves.” People may want to give back, to make a difference, to give a large inheritance to a cause or person who would benefit instead children who may not be able to handle it. There could be plenty of other reasons beyond those mentioned as well.
