Guidelines Released for E-Submission of 2011 Estate and Trust Returns

Irs_logoThe IRS will begin electronically accepting and processing 2011 estate and trust tax returns starting on January 23, 2012. The IRS released Publication 1437 in anticipation of the new electronic processing and acceptance of tax returns. Publication 1437 provides general requirements and procedures for the Form 1041 e-file program and is intended to be used in conjunction with Publications 1438 and 3112.
