Vester T. Hughes, 88, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017. Up until his passing, he was a partner of K&L Gates, making his mark as an incredible tax attorney. Hughes argued cases before the United States Supreme Court, successfully lobbied Congress on many occasions to amend tax laws, and provided tax policy advice to members of the Department of the Treasury and Congress. Hughes was also a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
