Impact Investing v. Philanthropy
Knowing when to advance your goals through impact investing versus philanthropy is important for your portfolio. These two aspects can work in correlation with one another, but make sure your portfolio is in line with your mission. For example, you can fund programs in support of your mission while investing in a venture-capital fund that also supports similar issues. Adding investments to your philanthropic strategy can bolster your philanthropy’s mission, supplementing your overall goals.
