A Hospital In Texas Is Trying To End Treatment For A Sick Man
This Fox & Friends report discusses the case of Chris Dunn and the decision by a Houston Methodist Hospital administrative panel to end treatment. The report discusses a cell phone video shot by Chris Dunn’s lawyers showing that he wanted to be kept alive. The hospital claims that its decision to end life sustaining treatment is supported by the Texas Advanced Directive Act. When Chris Dunn was first admitted into the hospital he did not have health insurance. There is currently heated debate over the Texas statute. This case is raising awareness about the Texas Advanced Directive Act and a growing number of lawmakers are calling for the repeal of the statute.
