Estate Tax Repeal Looming?

Reports indicate that there may now be sufficient votes in the Senate make the repeal of the estate tax permanent.  A bill so doing is scheduled for debate today (April 13, 2005).

The Democrat Party’s alternative proposal is to exempt $3 million of an unmarried individual’s estate from tax and $6 million of a married individual’s estate from tax.
