More on the Getty Trust
Yesterday, I reported that the director of the Getty Trust resigned.
Additional issues are being raised regarding the severence packages provided for other executives. Randy Kennedy & Carol Vogel, Executive Severance Is a Focus at Getty, NY Times, Feb. 11, 2006, report that:
One of the executives, Deborah Gribbon — who left in the fall of 2004 as director of the Getty Museum after disputes with the trust’s president, Barry Munitz — was paid $3 million on her resignation, almost nine times her base salary of $350,000, two former Getty officials said. The other executive, Jill Murphy, who served as Mr. Munitz’s chief of staff, was paid $250,000 in severance when she agreed to leave late last year.
