Neglect of Probate Matters Triggers Attorney Suspension
A Corpus Christi, Texas attorney received a three year suspension from the practice of law (six months to be actively served with the remainder probated) for his misbehavior relating to a probate matter.
[The] Grievance Committee found that [attorney] was hired by the client and her husband to probate the will of the client’s father-in-law and transfer title of certain real estate to her husband. [Attorney] neglected the obligations owed his client and, upon termination of the representation, failed to return unearned fees.
