More on New Pennsylvania Laws
Earlier on this blog, I reported on two developments in Pennsylvania law: passage of Uniform Trust Act (considered as an enactment of the Uniform Trust Code) and repeal of the Rule Against Perpetuties.
Neil E. Hendershot of the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania law firm of Goldberg Katzman, P.C has kindly supplied me with the following additional information and links regarding these two developments:
Final form of the Act: 2006 Pa. Legis. Serv. Act 2006-98. Governor Rendell signed Senate Bill 660 on Friday, July 7th, as Act No. 98 of 2006. The UTA provisions of the bill (New Chapter 77 of the Probate, Estates & Fiduciaries Code) are effective in 120 days. The principal and income and other provisions of the bill are effective in 60 days. The repeal of the Rule against Perpetuities is effective January 1, 2007.
