Parrots and Estate Planning

On Saturday, September 16, 2006, I had the pleasure of speaking at a seminar sponsored by the Phoenix Landing Foundation in Alexandria, Virginia.  My presentation was entitled Prepare for Your Companion Pet’s Future and included special tips for parrot owners.  Enhanced estate planning is especially important for parrot owners because the birds are long-lived (80 plus years).
