Death of Robert Douglas Grisham

Earlier this year, Robert Douglas Grisham of Abilene, Texas died.  The following description of his distinguished 50-year career was written by Kevin O’Keeffe (Austin, Texas) and published in Letters to the Editor, 69 Tex. B.J. 938, 939 (2006):

Robert was one of the first board-certified estate planning and probate lawyers in Texas.  His reputation in his area of expertise was such that clients came to Abilene from Fort Worth, Dallas, and Houston to seek his wise counsel.  Not only was he the consummate professional, but he treated his clients as friends, for whom he was doing some work.  Robert’s love for the law inspired his daughter to follow in his footsteps.  His grandson was the light of his life.  Everyone who knew Robert Grisham was better for it.
