The Singing Canadian Wills Lawyer
Canadian lawyer Les Kotzer takes a somewhat untraditional approach to his estate planning practice — he writes and performs songs which point out various aspects of the estate planning practice.
For example, here are a few of the lyrics from his song entitled The Family Fight:
We’re dividing all of mother’s things
Deciding on her rugs and rings
I can’t believe what’s happening tonightCan’t split a painting on a wall
Or share a table in the hall
I never dreamt that we could fall apart
It would break our mother’s heartTonight we’re in a family fight
And yet as kids we’d talk the night
But now, we’re in a family fight
A family fight * * *I never thought that I would see
These winds destroy the family tree
Memories are drifting in the storm
Those frozen moments always kept me warm
