Another probate lawyer misbehaves

EvilA Texas lawyer was suspended from the practice of law for 2.5 years (amazingly, full-probated) for several acts of misconduct which included the following as reported in Disciplinary Actions, 71 Tex. B.J. 692, at 695 (2008):

An evidentiary panel of the District 7-A Grievance Committee found that on March 22, 2004, the complainant hired [Attorney] to probate an estate. The complainant paid [Attorney] $900. [Attorney] filed the initial documents in probate court. Thereafter, [Attorney] neglected the matter and failed to respond to the complainant’s proper requests for information on the status of the matter. The complainant was forced to retain another attorney to finish the matter.
