Alan Newman (Professor of Law, University of Akron School of Law) has recently published his article entitled Revocable Trusts and the Law of Wills: An Imperfect Gift, 43 Real Prop., Tr. & Est. L.J. 523 (2009).

This Article notes the increased use of revocable trusts as will substitutes, particularly in states were estate administration is time-consuming and expensive. The author discusses the corresponding trend to use the law of wills to address issues that arise in the use and interpretation of revocable trusts.
