Update on mom who harvest dead son’s sperm

Earlier on this blog, reported how Travis County Texas (Austin) Probate Judge Guy Herman ruled on Monday (April 6, 2009) that a dad man’s mother (Marissa Evans) could harvest his sperm.

Here is some additional information:

The sperm was harvested on Wednesday (April 8, 2009) by a licensed urologist (name unknown) who volunteered to perform the procedure.  Studies of the sperm reveal that it is viable.

Marissa lives in Bedford, Texas which is located between Dallas and Fort Worth.  Now that she had the sperm, she is hoping to locate a surrogate but is not yet searching.  Although Marissa is only 42 years old, it seems she is not interested in serving as her grandchild’s surrogate.
