Alleged Conspiracy to Obtain Prescription Drugs for Anna Nicole Smith

A hearing to determine if there is sufficient evidence to warrant the trial of three individuals for conspiring to illegally obtain prescription drugs for Ann Nicole Smith is underway.  Los Angeles prosecutors have charged two doctors who wrote Smith’s prescriptions and Howard K. Stern, her attorney and boyfriend, in the conspiracy.  

Smith was very weak and obtained 44 different medications in the period prior to her death.
