Estate of Dead Police Officer Plans to Sue

The estate of police lt. Michael Pigott has announced plans to sue the NYPD for allegedly smearing Piggot’s name.  In 2008, Pigott ordered the tasering of a deranged man, which caused the man to fall from a balcony to his death.  Eight days later, after a receiving a desk assignment and finding out that he could go to jail for the incident, Pigott committed suicide.
