BBC Host Admits During TV Program That He Killed A Partner Dying of Aids

Ray Gosling, an English documentary maker, recently revealed that he killed a former lover who was dying of Aids by smothering him with a pillow.  The revelation occurred while Gosling was narrating for a TV program about end of life decisions.  Gosling was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder but has not been formally charged. Gosling reportedly refuses to identify the man he smothered or where the mercy killing took place, but he has stated that it took place long ago.

According to Sarah Lyall, BBC Host Admits Killing Ailing Partner, NY Times, Feb. 17, 2010, “Mr. Gosling’s confession raised a flurry of condemnation from groups opposing assisted suicide,” a contentious issue in England and Wales right now.
