Prediction that Estate Tax Changes Will Result in Surge of Work But Not Hiring
A recent National Law Journal article states that the estate tax repeal this year will result in a burst of work for estate planning attorneys and a surge of litigation to clarify provisions in the documents of those who die in 2010. But this increased workload is not predicted to result in increased attorney hiring at law firms, and although time will be spent reviewing documents, some clients won’t need any changes in their estate planning documents.

Special thanks to Joel Dobris (Professor of Law, UC Davis School of Law) for bringing this to my attention.
