NPR Features Estate Tax Piece
NPR’s radio program All Things Considered recently featured a piece on the confusing state of the federal estate tax.
The piece includes an interview with Boston College Law School Professor Ray Madoff, who states that with it being mid-April already, it is becoming less likely that Congress can pass a retroactive estate tax for 2010.
The piece also includes an interview with a practicing attorney who recounts some of his difficulties in dealing with the estates of wealthy individuals who have died this year.
An audio file of the piece is linked heresee also Yuki Noguchi, There May Be A Tax Upside to Dying in 2010, NPR, April 20, 2010.
Special thanks to Joel Dobris (Professor of Law, UC Davis School of Law) for brining this to my attention.
