Facebook just asked me if I wanted to be friends with a dead person!

A few minutes ago, I signed on to my Facebook page and was greeted with a message asking me if I wanted to “friend” a person whom I know is no longer functioning as a carbon based biological unit, or, in other words, “He’s dead, Jim.”

Very creepy!  It is a warning of sorts to family members to do something about a person’s on-line life upon death.  Of course, no one may have the necessary passwords.  As discussed many times before on this blog, that is why it is important to plan for digital assets.
