Killer Forfeits $9 Million Inheritance to Victim’s Family
Robert Reldan, now 70 years old, was convicted of murdering two women in the 1970s. While serving his life sentence at Trenton’s New Jersey State Prison, he inherited a $9,000,000 trust fund from his aunt—the same aunt he conspired to kill several years ago.
The family of Susan Reeves, one of Reldan’s victims, was able to get their hands on this inheritance, and they plan to donate their settlement to a college fund.
Reldan didn’t lose his entire inheritance in the settlement though. “Robert will get $200,000 upfront and $2,080 per year for as long as he is alive. If Reldan gets paroled, he will get $50,000 a year until he dies.”
