Senate passes tax bill 81 to 19

Today, December 15, 2010, the United States Senate approved the tax plan worked out between President Obama and Republican leaders by an overwhelming vote of 81 to 19.

The bill now goes to the House where it is expected to reach the floor on Thursday.
