Burglars Snort Cremation Remains, Mistaking them for Drugs
On December 15, burglars broke into a woman’s home in Silver Springs Shores, Florida. They stole electronic equipment, jewelry, and two urns containing the ashes of the woman’s father and her two Great Danes. Thinking they had discovered cocaine or heroin, the burglars snorted the cremated remains. Once they realized their mistake, they considered returning the ashes but threw them in a lake instead. Police divers are trying to recover the ashes, and the suspects are in jail.
