China Passes Law Requiring Children to Care for Elderly Parents

Chinese Elderly I previously blogged about China considering a law that would require children to care for their elderly parents. Officials in China have now passed the new law. “This comes amid fears economic and social upheaval will leave 167 million pensioners to fend for themselves.”

Special thanks to Adam J. Hirsch (William and Catherine VanDercreek Professor of Law, Florida State University College of Law) for bringing this to my attention.
