Congress may be passing an expansion of the tax-free rollover of assets from IRAs to certain charitable organizations. Jeffrey D. Haskell (Chief Legal Officer, Foundation Source) wrote a report entitled Proposed Expansion of the Tax-Free IRA Charitable Rollover that summarizes the current law dealing with tax-free rollovers as well as the proposed expansion to that law.
