  1. Warren Buffett: He and Bill Gates teamed up and persuaded billionaires to donate an estimated $150 billion in 2010.
  2. Bill Gates: He has given more than $30 billion to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which is why he is only the second richest person in the world.
  3. George Soros: He donated $332 million in 2010, mainly to Open Society Foundations.
  4. Eli Broad: He donates at least $100 million each year, focusing on science, education, and the arts.
  5. Michael Bloomberg: He gave over $279 million to charities in 2010.
