Man Sues Funeral Home and Cemetery Over Mother’s ‘Humiliating’ Burial

Casket Byron Morrow has sued a Chicago funeral home and cemetery over the botched body preparation and burial of his mother. Morrow claims that the funeral home improperly embalmed his mother, allowing brown liquid to leak from her skull. Morrow was also told that he would need an extra-large casket and larger grave site for his 230-pound mother. But at the funeral on April 9, the gravesite ended up being too small for the extra-large casket, and the casket was damaged when it was forced into the grave.

Morrow claims that he and his family were humiliated and insulted and are seeking over $50,000 in damages.
