Ninety-One Year Old Woman Sells Suicide Kits

Ninety-one year old Sharlotte Hydorn founded and owns the GLADD Group, a company that sells kits to those wishing to commit suicide. The kits contain a plastic bag and a clear tube. Last December, a 29 year old man bought a kit from the GLADD Group and used it to asphyxiate himself with helium. Hydorn also provides support to those wishing to commit suicide through the Final Exit Network.

Federal agents went to Hydorn’s California home Wednesday with a federal warrant. The agents took away the twenty kits Hydorn had ready to mail out, her computer, her sewing machine, and correspondence with Final Exit Network members.
