Generous Lottery Winner Passes Away
Violet Large passed away in Colchester Regional Hospital on Saturday. The Nova Scotia woman and her husband, Allen large, were known and admired for generously donating almost all of the $11.2 they won playing the lottery in July 2010. The couple donated to churches, family members, the Red Cross, hospitals, cemeteries, the Victorian Order of Nurses, fire departments, War Amps, SPCA, Home and School Association, and numerous other organizations.
