Twelve Year Old Girl Takes Life to Help Her Family

Mumpy was a twelve year old girl living in Nadia, India. Mumpy’s brother needed a kidney transplant to live, and her father required an eye surgery to save his vision. The family, however, could not afford either surgery. Mumpy made the decision to end her own life so that her brother and father could have her organs. Mumpy carried out her plan after writing a suicide note explaining her wishes. Mumpy’s family found the note the day after her body was cremated.
