Families Unable to Afford to Bury Dead

According to a survey of National Association of Medical Examiners members, coroners’ offices have witnessed an increase in the number of unclaimed bodies. Additionally, the number of indigent burials and cremations has increased over the last two years. Many blame the economy for these recent increases.
