Steve Jobs

Steve jobs Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple, Inc.,  passed away at the age of fifty-six. While the specifics of his estate plan are unknown, one thing is certain—because Jobs died this year, his estate tax could be as low as 35%. Had Jobs passed away last year, the executor of his estate would have had the option of opting out of the estate tax entirely.

Jobs’ unfortunate passing is yet another reminder of the importance of proper estate and financial planning, especially when faced with an uncertain future.
