Tips to Follow After Writing a Will
After creating a valid will, it is important to keep it in a safe location like a safe deposit box or fire proof safe. Sometimes the drafting attorney will keep the original copy at his or her office for safekeeping.
It may not be a wise decision to destroy older versions of your will. If the new will is invalidated later on, it is likely that the older will can be reinstated.
If you want to change the will later on, do not hand-write the changes on the will itself. Instead, contact an attorney who can draft an amendment to the will.
