DIY Coffins

Wood workRandy Schnobrich, a professional woodworker, offers a class entitled Bury Yourself In Your Work: Build Your Own Casket in Grand Marais, Minnesota. For $700, participants build their own coffins out of inch-thick cabinet grade pine over a three day period. The majority of the construction involves hand tools as opposed to electric tools, and participants learn how to create dovetail joints and coffin handles.
